CT Man Killed In Skydiving Accident To Be Laid To Rest

A Connecticut man killed in a skydiving accident will be laid to rest Sunday, Sept. 7 in Tariffville.  Frederick Platt Jr., 44, of Simsbury, was an officer in the Navy Special Warfare Command. He also worked for the Department of Homeland Security and FBI, and Seal Team 18.

Platt died July 20th when his parachute became entangled with another skydiver’s canopy in York, WI, according to Fox 6.

Photos published on Fredrick Platt’s Facebook page shows he was an avid skydiver, with more than 2,000 jumps under his belt.

A service will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Church St., Tariffville, CT.
