Daytrippers: Winding Down in the Hudson Highlands

They provide the postcard scenery and you provide the power; that's how things float at Hudson River Expeditions in Cold Spring, New York.

Brian Grahn, the owner of Hudson River Expeditions, offers kayak, canoe and stand up paddleboard tours of the picturesque Hudson Highlands.

"Nearly anyone can do this on the beginnner level," Grahn said.

The expeditions take guests on the part of the river that snakes past Storm King Mountain and ultimately showcases West Point.

Reyna Texler, a guide for Hudson River Expeditions, said, "It's an unbelievable playground, I love the perspective you get from being on the water."
