It’s Autism Awareness Fun Day in Cromwell today.
The free event for families who have children with Autism Spectrum Disorder will have activities for kids of all ages and activities, such as bounce houses, sensory stations and live entreatment.
Last year was the first Autism Awareness Fun Day at Adelbrook Behavioral & Developmental Services, and more than 200 families came out to play.
New additions this year include yoga, hoola hooping and drumming.
There will also be information available for parents about Autism Spectrum Disorder. The following groups will be handing out literature on the subject: Soul Friends, ASRC, Ability Beyond, Vista Vocational and Life Skill Center, Connecticut Center for Child Development, Infinity Music Therapy, Cromwell Fire Department, Drumming About You, Glam It Looks, Manes and Motions, Easter Seals and A Total Jump Inflatables.
The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 60 Hicksville Rd. in Cromwell. The rain date is the next day.
