A group of volunteers from various Connecticut churches and outreach programs have combined forces to serve hot coffee and breakfast to Hartford's homeless.

Organized by the Sparrow Ministries, the volunteers use the South congregational Church on Main Street as their serving location and area homeless people have gotten the word.

Thousands have been served.

Now in week 11, the group aspires to serve breakfast year round, every Saturday-- they are looking for more helpers and area businesses to donate food.

Hello. At Sparrow Ministries, we are looking to partner with job coaches to help our Saturday AM community. We just began this organization 11 weeks ago, and are trying to find ways to provide more resources than just food. Our goal is to work with other organizations to end chronic homelessness. If you know of anyone who could help us out, please let us know!
