A Massachusetts resident who is believed to be armed and dangerous may be somewhere in Connecticut.
Gregory Lewis, 26, of Southbridge, is wanted for several outstanding felony warrants, according to the Southbridge Police Department.
Lewis went missing on Sept. 20 after cutting off a GPS monitoring bracelet he had on for an on-going case involving the rape of a child. He then fled in his parents’ 2004 blue Jeep Grand Cherokee. The license number is 85GF63, and is from Massachusetts, though he may have changed the plates since then.
Lewis returned to his home on Thursday, Sept. 25, and assaulted a family member. He tied up and handcuffed the person so he or she couldn’t call police. He then armed himself with a handgun and left.
He was most recently seen in a Vernon, Connecticut store–as seen in the photos below–according to the Southbridge Police Department’s dispatch.
On Oct. 2, Massachusetts State Police Tweeted that Lewis had been added to the Mass. Most Wanted List.
Lewis has previously had firearms, and has made suicidal comments.
