Police in New London are investigating a human remains found on Huntington Street.
The remains were discovered 10:20 a.m. by Department of Transportation workers, according to Connecticut State Police Troopers.
Troopers from responded to the I-95 northbound exit 84 on-ramp for a report of skeletal remains located in a grassy area off the highway.
State Police Major Crime Squad Detectives responded to the scene to recover physical and forensic evidence.
The Office of the Chief States Medical Examiner will examine the remains to determine the identity, manner and cause of death.
