High pressure holds on today with sunshine, making for another beautiful fall day to end the work week. Low pressure located across the mid-section of the country today; will slide south of New England delivering a band of light to moderate rain with the heaviest amounts along shoreline where the potential for an inch or more rain could fall by Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the timing of the rain begins after midnight tonight and continues through early tomorrow afternoon when the rain will be falling on the Hartford Marathon with the damp, raw chilly temperatures.  High pressure will deliver a beautiful Sunday and Columbus Day with sunshine and cool temperatures.  Daytime highs will average in the 50’s and 60’s and overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s with the chance for scattered frost early Sunday and Monday mornings.
