State Trooper Injured After Car Crash

A State Trooper was injured after a car crash on Friday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Route 66 near Hunt Road in Columbia. Trooper Stacy Clark was heading eastbound on Route 66 when her cruiser went off the road and right shoulder.

Clark’s vehicle then struck a tree with its left side. Clark was transported to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to State Police, Clark was responding to a domestic violence call when she crashed her cruiser.

The cruiser was totaled as a result of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
