HARTFORD-- Drivers all around Connecticut may have noticed gas prices are on the way down.
As of Saturday, the average price of a gallon of gas in Connecticut is $3.53, down 22 cents in the past month.
AAA says average gas prices on October 11, 2014 are the lowest for the calendar date since 2010.
On Saturday afternoon, long lines of cars flocked to the Citgo on the Berlin Turnpike in Throughout the afternoon.
"It's been a long time since we had a lot of gas lines here for waiting for gas," said Bryan Goodrich, of Rocky Hill.
The station likely had the lowest prices in the area, selling regular gasoline for $3.05/gallon---- around 20-30 cents cheaper than nearby gas stations.
"I like to see the prices go down, I like to see other prices go down because my paycheck ain`t going up," said Liz Kozloski of Newington.
The average price for a gallon in Connecticut is down twenty two cents in the past month, according to AAA. Average prices in Connecticut are seeing of the highest yearly increases of any state in the nation..
"Whatever the trend is I'm just going to take it. if it goes back, I'll be unhappy, but I`ll just take it when can I can get it," said Jonathan Leff of New Britain.

Experts say prices are dropping because of a booming supply of oil combined with an decreased need for gasoline due to the end of the summer travel season.
They also point to refineries switching to the less expensive winter blend back in August.
"We were taking in the car and we just think they have overbought and they have to dump the gas," said Liz Kozloski of Kensington.
Many motorists we spoke with hope the money saved at the pump will go to good use.
"It's great, it's more money for me to spend someplace else. I don`t have to spend it on the gas, I can go someplace else," said Steve Silvia, of Newington.
AAA predicts gas price will fall even more during the second half of October.
