I-84 in Hartford is the busiest section of highway in Connecticut, and it carries 175,000 vehicles per day, more than three times its original design capacity, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT).
The CTDOT is looking to get input on how it should redesign a stretch of the roadway to improve the commute through the area. A meeting is being held Oct. 14, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the PAC Meeting #5, 227 Lawrence Street in Hartford.
Elevated structures on the road, or viaducts, need to be replaced and the public can speak at the meeting about what changes should be made.
