Luis Anglero, the Hartford teenager who was tased by a Hartford detective back in August, is due in court today to enter a plea on charges of breach of peace and resisting an officer.
The tasing incident, which was caught on camera, has sparked outrage in Hartford and has many people calling for Detective Shawn Ware to be criminally charged and terminated.
An internal affairs investigation found that Ware was not out of line for using his Taser. The official report on the incident found that the teen was being disruptive and combative.
Protesters are expected outside of court for today's hearing.
According to Hartford police, a group of people was causing a disruption at an intersection and that was why the police officer got involved.
