WOODBRIDGE  – The rankings are out.

Thirteen Connecticut High Schools rank among the nations best according to a report compiled by Newsweek Magazine.

Every year Newsweek announces the nations best high schools that do an outstanding job of preparing students for college.

The magazine teamed up with a research group to compile the list.

They said their methodology was more stringent than ever with new measures of quality and a high standard of data.

The coveted number one spot went to Thomas Jefferson High School out of Alexandria, VA.

The highest Connecticut school to top the list is out of Woodbridge, it’s Amity High School and it made the cut at 112.

Newsweek rated its college readiness with a score of 92.67; college-bound percentile, 79.2; and a graduation rate percentile of 60.76.
