BOSTON – Batman is a Prospective K9, a 9 week old German Shepherd in the care of Patrol Officer Troy Caisey, the Head Trainer of the Boston Police K-9 Unit, and thanks to the generous support of the community, he has already been provided with a protective vest for when he’s older.

Since 2000, Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog has provided the Boston Police Department K-9 Unite with 26 K9 vests, K9 1st Aid kits, and one Bite Suit, and they did it through fundraising.

Batman is one of twelve dogs featured in the 2015 Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog Calendar, the proceeds of which are used to support Massachusetts police dogs, helping provide vests, essential equipment and training.

The calendar can be yours for a $10 donation, plus S&H, and is full color, 8 ½ X 11, featuring all Massachusetts Police dogs: Boston, Bridgewater, Concord, Franklin, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Raynham Police Departments, Essex and Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department, Massachusetts Department of Corrections and Massachusetts State Police.
