SHELTON – Following the retirement of K-9 Jager from the Shelton Police Department, K-9 Stryker has recently been purchased for the resurrected K-9 Unit.

Stryker and his handler, Officer Dan Loris, are scheduled to begin formal training at the police academy in February. “Stryker will be a great asset to the police department and the City. Officer Loris and Stryker are eager to carry on the distinguished tradition that has been established by previous members of the Shelton Police K-9 Unit.”

Stryker was purchased from Erich Grasso of Grasso Shepherds, which has provided a number of dogs to various law enforcement agencies.
