A vigilant homeowner prevented a burglary to a neighbor’s house Thursday in Bristol when he observed suspicious people at a home on Chippenwood Lane, police said. Around 5 p.m., the suspect attempted to force open a door to the home and the home-owner called 911.

Bristol officers found the two suspects in a car nearby, they said.

Joseph Saluski and Jamie Newberry of the same address were both charged in connection with the incident.

Saluski, a convicted felon, is charged with Criminal Attempt at Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Attempt at Larceny , Criminal Trespass and Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Trespass.

Newberry was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Trespass and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny.

Both are due in court on  Nov. 10.
