Halloween is part trick, and certainly a big treat for real witches.

At Apples, Brooms and Cauldrons in Plainville, witches can find all their hearts' desire for spells and rituals. The store, which is owned by Samantha Evans, 64, is enchanted with crystals, herbs, incense and apparel among other things.

Evans claims she has practiced witchcraft for 38 years, and that Halloween is a witch's biggest night because they honor those who have passed before them.

"We are not Satan worshipers," Evans said.  "We're just here to exist, to evolve, to help wherever we can, that is our purpose."

Apples, Brooms and Cauldrons is open Thursday through Sunday.
