Crews clear scene after transformer explosion in Vernon

VERNON – Emergency crews have cleared the scene to a reported transformer explosion.

The incident happened on Route 30 and Mount Vernon Drive and sparked a small brush fire.

Outages were reported in the area and CL&P was working on restoring power.
