West Hartford man dies after being pinned under car

WEST HARTFORD – A man died after police believe the car he was working on may have rolled onto him.

Police were called Monday night to 14 Abbotsford Ave. for the report of a male pinned underneath a car. Officers found the victim, in his 30s, with his neck pinned between the front passenger tire and curb. Police said the vehicle was running and appeared to be in gear.

Police believe the victim Douglas Medeiros, 30, was working underneath the vehicle and it rolled back onto his neck.

The detective division is investigating.
