CCSU police reminding students to be aware of surroundings

NEW BRITAIN- There is an increased police presence tonight on the campus of Central Connecticut State University after an assault near campus early this morning.

University police say the assault occurred around 5 a.m when a female  was approached by two white males near Biltmore and East streets. The suspects are described as having dark hair and were wearing dark clothing. According to police, the victim is not a student at the university.

CCSU police are reminding students to be aware of their surroundings and to use caution when walking alone.
