Man burned after his arm falls into donut fryer in Torrington

TORRINGTON — A 60-year-old man was burned after his arm fell into a donut fryer on Saturday morning.

The incident happened at the Price Chopper at 990 Torringford Street around 6:00 a.m. Fire officials say he is an employee and works in the bakery at the store.

According to officials, the man suffered burns to less than 18 percent of his body. He was taken to Charlotte-Hungerford hospital with non life threatening injuries.
