BRISTOL–Route 72 has reopened between Route 229 and Emmett Street in Bristol after being shut down for a while to investigate an incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
A juvenile pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing the street, and then bounced off another stopped car in the road. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Bristol Police Department is investigating the incident.
