Stars come together for new version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ to fight Ebola

Exactly 30 years after a supergroup of recording artists came together to record the popular holiday hit “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”, new musicians are using their voices for charity.

The original Band Aid song, written by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, raised funds for the victims of the 1984 Ethiopian famine.

This new version is raising money to fight the Ebola virus outbreak in Western Africa.

The song features popular names like Bono, One Direction, Sam Smith and more. The video also features several British YouTube stars.
