This is the calm before the storm--the rain is over for now , and the skies will clear out tonight, with lows down to near 50. For Tuesday expect a mix of sun and clouds, and milder temperatures for just one more day, into the upper-50s.

The issue continues to lie with Wednesday, one of the biggest travel days of the year. With a storm moving up the Atlantic coast, expect snow to develop late Wednesday, continuing into early Thursday. How much? Could be a lot in the northwest hills, with lesser amounts towards New London County.

A winter storm watch is in effect for much of the state.
