BRONX, NY – Raymond Rodriguez, 34, was taken into custody by West Hartford Police Detective Wamester, with the aid of the NYPD Special Victims Unit, on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Rodriguez escaped custody in 2000 following his arrest after a sexual assault complaint was filed against him by a 15 year old victim.  Rodriguez, 19 years old at the time, was wanted on two counts of Sexual Assault 2nd degree.

He was held as a Fugitive from Justice following his re-capture in the Bronx, until he waived extradition and was returned to Connecticut, where he is now being held on a $75,000 surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2014.
