Did you know that today, December 1st marks the first day of meteorological winter. Of course you would never know it by stepping outside today with temperatures in the 40’s and low 50’s, feeling more like the beginning of October instead of December. A cold front will put an end to the mild weather that we have been experiencing during the last couple of days. A passing shower cannot be ruled out this afternoon ahead of the cold front cold late today. A quick shot of cold air will be with us on Tuesday followed by a moderation in temperatures by the middle and end of the week. There will be a period of light snow/mix to rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Temperatures will only averaged in the 30’s Tuesday then drop into the 20’s as precipitation begins to fall Tuesday night. The wintry mess will quickly change to light rain by Wednesday morning as temperatures warm into the 40’s. High pressure builds across the northeast rest of week with sunshine along with mild temperatures dry conditions.
