Elderly woman tied up, man shot in Danbury home invasion

DANBURY – Police are investigating a home invasion on Irving Place that took place Saturday night where a woman was tied up and assaulted and a man was shot in the leg.

Police said around 9:45 p.m. they were called to a house for a home invasion. When they arrived, they found two victims, one a 70-year-old female and a 25-year-old male.

Police said two males wearing ski masks kicked the front door in and shot the male in the leg. Both were tied up and the woman was assaulted. Police said theĀ  suspects then left the house with an undetermined amount of cash. The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries where she was treated and released. The man was admitted to the hospital for his injuries.
