BRIDGEPORT–A terrible accident that occurred early on Thursday has left one dead and police with no suspects.
The victim, Evelyn Agyei, 51, was driving a 1997 Subaru on Boston Avnue around 6:30 a.m. Witnesses and surveillance video lead officers to believe that a white SUV collided into the Subaru, causing Agyei to lose control and hit a tree on the side of the road. The SUV fled the scene. The video appears to show the SUV hit the Subaru and push it along a short distance before the Subaru spins out and the SUV drives away.
Agyei needed to be extricated from the car, and she pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. Her 11-year-old son who was a passenger in the back seat was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
