Pizza deliveryman pistol whipped after delivering to Quinnipiac University dorm

HAMDEN – Police are looking for three suspects in the assault and robbery of a pizza delivery man after he made a stop at  a Quinnipiac University dorm.

Police said around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, a delivery man for Domino’s Pizza was just leaving the York Hill Campus, 305 Sherman Ave., after delivering a pizza to an individual. Police said the delivery man reported seeing a woman screaming for help. When he stopped to assist the woman he was attacked by a man who police described as a black male, dressed in black, who approached him and pointed a gun at his head and demanded his personal belongings.

The delivery man was dragged out of the vehicle by the man with the gun, forced to his knees and hit three times according to police. His money, phone and car keys were stolen. Police said the attacker, the woman and a third man fled the area in a green van. The delivery man suffered head injuries.
