Buddy is a two year old hound mix. He is a friendly, easy-going dog that likes to keep his nose to the ground and his tail in the air. He’s great with other dogs, and would make a wonderful playmate for a family with an existing dog, or who wants to be able to go to the dog park or doggie daycare. He would also do well alone, and would be a great “starter” dog for a first-timer family. He is attentive, cooperative, and highly trainable. Buddy has a big-dog feel and appearance, but at only about 40 lbs, he’s actually smaller and manageable. He can be a bit skittish and jumpy at times; between that and his curious nose, it would be best to have a fenced yard, or at least owners who can be vigilant with him on a leash or tether. He came from a local pound; we were told he was passed from home to home and ultimately dumped by the side of the road.
