Top New Year’s Eve travel destinations for 2014

New Year’s Eve is right around the corner- have you arranged your fabulous plans yet?  TripAdvisor has provided the data from their winter travel survey of more than 2,600 respondents, one-third of which plan to travel for this December holiday season.

Out of those, 42 percent are traveling for the specific purpose of celebrating the New Year.  So, for those of you who want to bring in the new year with a bang, but aren’t sure of where to go, here are the 10 most popular destinations for U.S. travelers, based on  a study in searches on for the period between December 27, 2014 and January 4, 2015:

It’s no surprise New York City was listed as the most popular destination, with its iconic Times Square ball-drop ceremony, and of course, in the middle of the winter season, 50 percent of the most searched locations were southbound.

Well, there you have it, folks.  If you’re looking for an eventful New Year’s Eve, any one of these 10 locations is sure to full of eager and excited travelers, ready to bring in the new year.

    I don’t know, I would love to be in Hawaii for New Year’s. The beautiful scenery and the great warm weather. I was looking at pics of Kauai Vacation Rentals & Real Estate, Inc.’s Facebook page. Great pics and looks like they have really good deals too. That’s where I want to be to celebrate the New Year.
