HAMDEN – Police are looking for suspects in a robbery and attempted robbery of the third and fourth food delivery drivers in a week.

Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.police responded to Manila Avenue on the report of an attempted robbery of a Legend Pizza delivery driver.

Police said the driver was making a delivery to a Manila Avenue address, when he was approached by two men. While the delivery man was seated in his vehicle, one of the suspects pointed a gun at his head. Police said the said threatened to shoot him if he did not turn over his car. The delivery man attempted to disarm the individual, but was able to drive away safely.

Police said the suspects were described as a two males, one Hispanic, 18 to 20 years of age wearing dark clothing along, and a second suspect, who was wearing a mask clad in dark clothing.

Police said about an hour later, at approximately 9:45 p.m. a  Pianca Pizza driver was making a delivery to a Helen Street address where he was approached by two individuals with handguns, who police described as black males, wearing bandanas. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money from the delivery driver.

One delivery driver was assaulted on December 9th after he made a delivery to a dorm at Quinnipiac University. A second was robbed on Sunday.
