There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the show finale of Two and a Half Men.  Between Charlie Sheen’s interest in returning, Jon Cryer’s insistence that it will not happen, and Chuck Lorre’s evasiveness, fans of the original cast are pretty confused.  When season 12, the final season, kicked off with the Alan/Walden marriage and adoption story line, a Sheen return seemed unpromising.

However, while on The Ellen Show earlier this week, Ashton Kutcher had a tiny little slip up regarding the question: Is Charlie coming back?

Hmm. His surprise at the question, in addition to how he fumbles his reply indicates there may be some serious Sheen action before or in the show finale, airing Thursday, Feb 19, 2015.  One does have to wonder whether or not Ashton’s reply was publicity ploy, however, as it is no secret that a lot of Two and a Half Men fans fell off the wagon after Charlie Sheen left the show.  Strumming up interest as to whether or not Charlie might actually appear in the finale would be a great way to boost numbers for the show’s ending, even if there isn’t an actual possibility.

What do you think?  From Ashton’s interview on The Ellen Show, do you think there is a real possibility the network will be bringing Charlie back, or is this just a well thought-out and perfectly acted interview to drum up higher ratings?

That would be stange if charlie returned and that got great numbers for the night. That would mean chuck was wrong to replace him. I like Ashton but he plays a older kelso. Same acting and delivery as before.
