NEW BRITAIN--A nearly 40-year-old tradition continues in New Britain.
Rita Giancola has been extravegantly decorating her house for all those years, and her 90th birthday isn't stopping her! Though she needs some extra help these days setting up--she starts to put up lights in October--she says the joy in giving to the community is still there.
"I love people, I love to give to people, I love to give of myself," Giancola said. "And I get so much joy to the old and the young and some of them they get tears in their eyes before they leave but tears with joy."
There's no charge to see the dolls, lights, trees and other decorations in her New Britain home, but she does ask for donations of household goods to give to families in need.
