It’s the last day of Hanukkah, and it’s also Christmas Eve, so many of us won’t be happy to see rain on such a festive day.

Heavy rain will fall at times, and even when it’s not raining, there will be drizzle and fog as well. There may be a few rumbles of thunder, but no severe weather is expected.

Christmas morning will start off wet, but clearing skies will move in pretty quickly. The afternoon will be breezy and turning cooler with temperatures falling from the 50s into the 40s during the day.

Cooler temperatures take us back down to normal by Sunday, and we may see some snow fall by Sunday evening, into Monday.

Forecast Details:

Today: Rainy and mild. Highs: 50s.

Tonight: Rain, heavy at times. Could be a few rumbles of thunder. Very mild, with lows around 50 degrees. Temperatures may actually spike up to near 60 during the early morning out ahead of the cold front.

Christmas Day: AM showers/ PM clearing. Becoming windy in the afternoon. Highs: upper-50s.

Friday: Partly cloudy, breezy. Highs: 40s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, highs in the 40s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, a rain/snow shower. Highs: 30s.
