STAMFORD–A 24-year-old man has been missing since Christmas Eve.

Paulino Mendoza, has not used his cell phone at all since the 24th. He was last seen out with his friends last Wednesday, and never arrived home.

During the investigation, police determined after speaking with friends and family that Mendoza was dropped off by a USA Taxi near 11 Avery Street, about four blocks from his home on Willowbrook Avenue. He lives with his brother, Ricardo Mendoza Garcia, who reported him missing on Dec. 28.

Mendoza’s family says this is uncharacteristic of him.

The Stamford Police Department’s Special Victims’ Unit has been searching around the east side of Stamford, near Cove Island Park, for Mendoza for two days. Two tracking dogs and the Westchester County Aviation Unit have been helping in the search, but no attempts to locate him have been successful.

If you have any information or have seen the man in the photo, please call the Stamford Police Department at 203-977-4444.
