HARTFORD — Dunkin’ Donuts is expanding its food menu.
Starting Tuesday, the Canton, Massachusetts-based company is rolling out Chocolate Croissants and a Mozzarella Tomato Bagel.
The Chocolate Croissant is a pastry injected with chocolate filling and served warm. The new bagel is topped with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and herbs, and is also served warm.
Both items will be available through early 2015.
Dunkin’ is also running a New Year Twitter contest, in which people who tweet #DDNewYearSweeps will be entered to win free coffee for a year.
Dunkin’ has been expanding its menu items as it competes with other fast food brands like McDonald’s and Starbucks. Earlier this year, the company started selling its own version of a croissant doughnut, first made famous by Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York.
