HARTFORD — If you’ve eaten at Chick-fil-A in recent months, you’re going to want to check your bank statements.
On Friday, December 19, the company first received reports of potential unusual activity involving credit and debit cards used at its restaurants.
The chain is releasing limited details on the possible data breach, including what locations may be affected. Chick-fil-A has restaurants in Brookfield, Danbury and Wallingford.
“We want to assure our customers we are working hard to investigate these events and will share additional facts as we are able to do so,” a company statement said.
If there was an actual breach, Chick-fil-A says they will offer free identity protection services and credit monitoring, and customers will not be liable for any fraudulent charges.
