‘Doggies for Anthony’ page replaced after problems with original

PHOENIX, Arizona – A woman’s Facebook page to cheer up her friend’s son battling cancer has been replaced with a new one.

The event, “Photo Doggies for Anthony,” was started by Ro Joe with a simple message: post dog pictures. The original page was removed  and the new page carries a message,

Not actual event, original photo doggies for anthony got taken down because one person decided to bring his negativity upon a great thing, i hope i can continue to see all the pictures of your dogs. No matter what they make me happy and i try and look at every single one of them!

Within days, hundreds of thousands of people from around the world had posted pictures of their pets with well wishes to 16-year-old Anthony.

Anthony is currently undergoing chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow.
