BRISTOL – Crews repaired a water main break that threatened to shut down an emergency warming center.

The Bristol Water Department found the break Main Street near the Bristol Library. Because the library is open until 8:00 p.m. and serves as a warming center for the city, crews did not begin work to repair the break until after the library closed.

Crews finished repairs around 4 a.m. and service was restored.
