BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Chrome shines and paint sparkles shimmer, even after a century of existence, at one New England museum.

A visit to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts is a regal ride back in time. The museum is a beautifully-converted carriage house sitting atop a hill with Boston in the background.

The collection features autos from every era, aquired by Larz and Isabel Anderson early in the 20th century. "Total power couple," Newton said. At one time, Isabel was the richest woman in the country. Thirty cars cover two full floors of the museum; cars that date back to the late 1800s, including a 1899 Winton, a 1905 Electromobile, and a 1925 Bugatti.
