Plainfield Police searching for suspect in pedestrian-involved hit-and-run

PLAINFIELD–Police are searching for information after a pedestrian was hit while crossing the street late Wednesday night.

Justin Davis, 25, of Moosup, was found lying in the shoulder of the road on East Main Street, near the driveway of 6 East Main St. He said he was walking westbound near the Subway Plaza when he was hit from behind by a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Davis was taken to the hospital for reported injuries.

Police found a passenger side mirror on the road west of where Davis was found. It has since been determined that the mirror belongs to a 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
