Volunteer firefighter arested after being accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile

SCOTLAND – State Police arrested a Scotland Volunteer Firefighter in connection with a sexual assault of a juvenile.

Dave Trudeau, 41 of Scotland Connecticut, was arrested on sexual assault , risk of injury and disorderly conduct charges Wednesday.

The arrest stems from an investigation that started when a juvenile reported inappropriate sexual contact over an extended period of time to a teacher, who in turn reported it to the Department of Children and Families. DCF and state police investigated and information was developedĀ  about a second victim.

Trudeau’s membership with the Scotland Volunteer Fire Department is suspended during the investigation.

“Mr. Trudeau is notĀ permitted to respond to emergency calls, attend department events, or represent the Scotland Volunteer
Fire Department during this suspension,” President Raymond Arnott Jr. said in a statement.

Trudeau was arrested and held on $500,000 bond.
