Most people have heard that “Ghostbusters” is getting a reboot, but did you know that this time around there will be an all-female cast?

The modern-day classic reboot has already signed Melissa McCarthy to play one of the leads, while Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are in the middle of negotiations with the studio to fill out the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Paul Feig, who worked on “Bridesmaids” with McCarthy and Wiig, will direct the remake.

The initial concept was for a reboot featuring the original cast–Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray–and director Ivan Reitman. However, a series of drop-outs and mishaps led to Feig taking over and retooling the concept.
