STORRS – The University of Connecticut Undergraduate Student Government passed a resolution Wednesday night in response to problems clearing snow from the parking lots from Tuesday’s storm.

The resolution said an email was sent out from University at 10:15 a.m. stating “surface parking lots at the Storrs campus have been cleared of snow and are now ready for use this morning.” However, not all the lots were cleared, nor were walks and stairs cleared adequately, especially for students with mobility disabilities.

The student government said students pay between $92 and $376 for a residential parking pass.

The Student Government passed a resolution to create a task force composed of residents and commuter students, including those with mobility limitations, to report the administration about problems clearing snow and providing access when inclement weather calls for it.
