Thursday forecast: Light snow in the early morning, frigid temps return

HARTFORD – A clipper this morning will bring a little snow, mainly to the NW Hills, but a coating to an inch is possible across the state. The bad news: the milder air leaves with the snow quickly. We'll be all the way down to zero Friday morning. Friday is quiet, with lots of cold sunshine. Snow chances return Saturday and  stay well into Sunday and for the first part of the work week.

Thursday: A period of light snow in the morning, accumulating a coating-2”. High: 30, falling into the 20s during the afternoon.

Friday: Partly sunny, very cold. High: 15-20.

Saturday: Early sun, increasing clouds with snow showers in the afternoon. High: 32.

Sunday: Snow developing and continuing at night. High: 25-30.

Monday: Periods of snow. High: 20s.

Tuesday: Chance for more snow. High: 20s.
