MILFORD – A North Haven woman is facing several charges after police say she stole checks from an elderly resident and later cashed them for $33,000.
Sherry Farley, 43, was charged with first degree larceny and forgery after police said she 23 stole checks from the home of an elderly person she had been hired to care for. Those checks were cashed at several banks for over $33,000.
Police received a complaint in December and said the thefts took place over six months. That was the same time Farley was hired by the victim as a private home health aid. Farley is scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
