PRESTON – Fighting a fire Wednesday morning became more challenging when live ammunition started going off in the building. People on the scene were told by fire officials to stay back because there was ammo going off.  The fire was in a home on Miller Road.

The home owner, a volunteer firefighter with the Poquetanuck Volunteer Fire Department, was on the scene.

Everyone was able to escape the building.
