Man steals metal flusher from Stop & Shop, McDonald’s restrooms in Watertown

WATERTOWN–Police are trying to identify a man who is suspected of disassembling the toilet and stealing the metal flush assembly from both Stop & Shop and McDonald’s restrooms in Watertown.

The man is said to have entered the store, located at 763 Straits Turnpike, around 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

He then  entered the McDonald’s a short time later located at 564 Straits Turnpike, where he again stole the metal flusher after disassembling the toilet.

The stores were partially flooded from the man’s actions.

He was captured by video surveillance at both locations and is described as a white man in his 20s to 30s with short hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing a dark Carhart jacket and jeans.

His car is a Hyundai with Connecticut license plates.
