BRIDGEPORT –  It looks like NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams has been offered a job opportunity, right here in Connecticut. The Bridgeport Bluefish offered Williams a paid internship, to help make the time go by while he is suspended from NBC.

Williams would be paid $500 a month to write game recaps during the 2015 Atlantic League Season.

Williams, who lives in Connecticut, was recently benched for six months without pay from his position as anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News after falsely reporting his experience during the Iraq war.

According to their website, “The Bluefish staff members are huge fans of Williams, and are firm believers in second chances.”

“Our thought is to get Brian’s assistance in writing game reports following any Bluefish losses in 2015,” says Bluefish general manager Jamie Toole. “With his reporting style, we may even win a few of those games.”
