BERLIN — Countless parents are left in a jam after the Berlin Learning Experience Day Care Center announced a few days ago that it would be shutting its doors for good.
No real reason was given aside from a vague explanation in a letter sent home to parents saying the closure had to happen “due to several circumstances beyond [the company’s] control.”
“I’m very upset actually because this is more like a family based facility and they treat [my son] well and it just makes me really sad to see this place go down,” said Maria Ocasio, a parent. “I’m just hurt. Yeah. I’m really hurt.”
The center was originally going to close February 20, but that date was extended to March 13.
